Model Answer
I’m going to talk about my friend, Elliott, who is a natural at languages and always has a lot of interesting ideas when it comes to language learning and teaching. He is a fellow teacher at my workplace, so I feel I know him well enough to speak about him.
First of all, he is fluent in three foreign languages, English, Chinese and Japanese, in addition to his mother tongue. So you can imagine, as a language teacher, he really stands out from the others. I feel that he has a special empathy for language learners.
IELTS Speaking Interview
Although he has a knack for languages, he knows that others struggle with them, so he always tries to come up with new methods to help language learners improve faster and achieve better results. In addition to imparting knowledge, he always creates a fun atmosphere. For example, at the start of each class, he would have all the students stand up and play some warm-up games instead of going straight into doing routine teaching stuff.
Some of the games are even invented by himself and I must say they are all well thought out. I learn a lot from observing his classes and look forward to working more with him in the future. I’m really interested in learning more about how to make language learning fun.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS
When do children begin to have their own ideas?
It’s hard to tell because I don’t usually spend time with children. Just a wild guess, I think they may develop their own ways of thinking since the age of 3. This is because, at the age of 3, they start to go to kindergartens and get into contact with other kids and teachers. Thanks to these interactions, they will start to form their own ideas about the world.
Why are there more and more differences between children and their parents?
I guess it’s because when children grow up, their relationship circle expands and they are more influenced by others rather than their parents. Take me as an example. My parents and I used to have similar opinions but now my ideas often conflict with theirs.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of setting rules for children?
Well, an obvious advantage of setting rules for kids is that it can help children become more disciplined. However, if the rules are too strict or inappropriate, they can limit children’s imagination and forcing children to follow these rules may put children under lots of pressure and even result in mental illnesses.
