I am basically dweller of Moga. This city is prevalent for street markets. One of the ubiquitous street markets is Bagh Gali. It constitutes shops for almost all age groups. Along with this, food corners also play an imperative part here.

There are some noticeable differences between open air markets and supermarkets. First, the prices in street markets are often flexible. SAMPLE ANSWER
There are so many things that are important for me, but I think the one thing I cannot live without is my laptop. I have got MacBook Air and have recently bought it. It is my first laptop and before buying it, initially I thought of buying a plain IBM computer. But, for some reasons, MacBook Air struck a chord with me. I just wanted to have it and started saving for it. It took me three months of saving and rigorous work routine before I could buy myself, my first laptop a MacBook Air.
The device has got 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. With such high specifications, I can do almost about anything in the computer, from blogging to writing heavy codes and then learning lot of things from the app store available. You can click photos, send documents, basically everything that one can do on a personal computer, only a bit faster and better.

I use it extensively for coding. Being a software engineer I need a laptop that is secure and is less susceptible to crashes. And MacBook air suits the bill. It is safe and my date is always secure. Even more, since it is light weight it is very easy for me to carry it with myself on the various travel trips that I take.
The reason that I love my MacBook is because it helps me get the best of both worlds. Not only can I easily blog on it, I can also code fairly well.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS
What kind of things give status to people in your country?
A. Different things are considered related to the “status symbol” in our country. Firstly, education and knowledge are connected to social status in my country. Then, a huge sum of money may bring status, and society often considers people with money powerful and successful. Sometimes fame and popularity are also considered status symbols. Finally, expensive houses, electronic gadgets, cars and fashionable and branded dresses also come into play when we think about things that bring status to people.
Q. Have things changed since your parents’ time?
A. Well, in terms of status symbols and things that give people status, things have not changed much since my parents’ time. The things that they used to consider as symbols of status are still prevalent. Only, the latest gizmos and the latest models of cars and electronic items made their places in the list.

Q. Do you think advertising influences what people buy?
A. Advertising has a big impact on human minds as our purchasing and consumerist decisions are often shaped by those adverts. Those advertisements influence people and often manipulate their desire for owning particular items or products. For instance, if someone goes to buy a simple product like a bar of soap, cosmetic item or a can of soft drink from the nearby store, she or he will prefer the brand that was advertised on television and that has already been in his/her mind. The advertised products and brands will subconsciously appear in our minds and give us the impression that they are good products.
Q. How do you think the Internet will affect our buying patterns in the future?
A. No doubt that the internet already has and will affect the way we buy things or will buy things in the future. It will affect no matter if we are buying some simple children’s toys or comparing the price of a very luxurious car. For example, the use of the internet will allow more and more businesses to sell varieties of their products online which was deemed unimaginable even a decade ago. Besides, the use of the internet will probably also “redefine” the needs of the consumers since they will continuously become exposed to more and more different kinds of products and services across different cultures and lifestyles which were deemed “foreign” before.
Q. Modern society is often called “materialistic”. Why do you think this is?
A. Well, different people would perhaps attribute different reasons behind calling modern society “materialistic”, but as far as I am concerned, I would suggest that it’s primarily the urge of people to live a comfortable life that makes their society materialistic. Besides, it is also possible that modern societies today have become materialistic because their emphasis on religious and/or moral teachings have loosened more than ever before, and as a result, people, these days, have mostly forgotten how to feel happy and content with “less”.
