PART – 1 INTRO
What is your full name?
My name is Akshara Rathore.
How may I address you?
You may address me as Akshara.
May I see your ID?
Sure, here it is.
Do you live in a house or an apartment?
I live in a semi-detached house with three bedrooms in a suburb of Manchester. I’ve lived there for just over a year.
Which is your favourite room in your home? Why?
I don’t really have a favourite room. But if I had to choose, I’d say the living room because that’s where I go to sit and relax.

Would you change anything about your home? Why / why not?
Yes, I’ve been meaning to redecorate it since I moved in last year. It needs a new kitchen, so that’s what I’d change first.
Would you like to move to a different home in the future?
Yes, I’d definitely move again at some point if I could afford to. I’d like to live in the countryside, or maybe in a different city or country.
Do you care about fashion?
I used to in my younger days, I remember always looking to see what my favourite musicians were wearing and then try to copy them, but now that I’m older I don’t really care as long as I look smart.

Gardening is one of the most prominent hobbies around the world. With the recent rise of social media, people are starting to realize how much it is advantageous in balancing nature. Plants are helpful for people to recover from depression, anxiety, and stress. It is usually said that those who take good care of plants are good at managing anything.
If I have to describe a person who likes to grow plant, the only person who springs to my mind is my sister. Her name is Nishika Yadav. She has a green thumb in our family. Plants really enliven the place that’s what I realized when she turned the rooftop area into a paradise that looks like a mini garden. Since teenage, my sister would spend hours working in backyard. Over the years, she has gained profound knowledge about the different plants and their species.

She has grown plethora of plants which includes flowering as well as non-flowering. We often enjoy having fresh organic fruits and vegetables. In the backyard she has proficiently managed to maintain our house garden. Apart from that, she has mastered the technique of making bonsai and has created a verdant environment at home.
As looking up to her I also started helping her out in planting. To be honest, I have experienced major difference in my life, as I have grown to become a better person. So, that is the person who likes to grow plant.

Q1. What kind of plants do people like to grow in their homes?
In my country, people grow distinct types of plants which includes flowers, medicinal herbs, vegetables and fruits. There’s a medicinal plant that is commonly found in most Indian homes which is Tulsi, also referred as Holy Basil. People add its leaf in tea which helps to prevent cold and boost immunity. Apart from medicinal importance, it also holds religious importance, as in Hindu culture the plant is referred to goddess, who brings prosperity to the family.
Q2. Is it important to have plants at home?
Certainly, plants enhance the overall appearance of a space. Apart, from the aesthetic purpose of adding some living plants into your house, it also helps in eliminating air pollutants making it healthier place to live. Besides that, when we spend time in natural settings it can help to reduce mental fatigue and improve concentration levels.
