Do people like comedy?
Yes, people love to watch comedy as it is a great source of entertainment. Also, in today’s world where everyone has to work really hard, comedy acts as a great stress buster. Personally, I love to watch comedy series on Netflix. My favourite comedy series is a US based sitcom called Friends.
Why do people of all ages like cartoons?
People of all ages love to watch cartoons because they are really funny and enjoyable. Kids like watching cartoons because they are fun and they can learn many things from them. Cartoons are fantastical, so they could think their dreams are coming true by cartoons. For adults, cartoons take them back to their childhood and provide breaks from their hectic schedule.
Why do some people like to make others laugh?
I think there are 2 main reasons why some people like to make others laugh. First, when they make others laugh it makes them look more attractive, especially to the opposite gender. For example, women like men who have a humorous nature. Secondly, it helps them to break the ice or remove the tension in a nervous situation.

SAMPLE ANSWER
I frequently write emails in order to communicate with my family, friends and relatives. Of course, most of these emails are [/were] pretty normal in terms of their contents and substances. But, today, I would like to talk about an email which I thought was very important.
I wrote it about 3 years ago when I was a final year university student. At that time, one of my younger cousins also wanted to study at my university since it is one of the best and most prestigious universities in my country, especially, when it comes to studying engineering.
But, the problem was that my poor cousin didn’t really meet the standard academic requirements at that time which would allow him to secure an admission at my university. Of course, he was also quite aware of his rather “mediocre”, past academic performance, but he would still hope to get an admission at that university because he was a good athlete.
In other words, he wanted to get admission in the “sports” quota even though I told him not to have such a high hope in securing that admission because, after all, the competition to study at my university was very high. But, I still held my hope and applied to the university, on behalf of my cousin, only to find out that he – my cousin that is – wasn’t after all eligible to study at my university.
So, I just wrote him an email, later on, explaining to him as best and objectively as I possibly could. After all, I didn’t really want him to feel sad and heartbroken.

IELTS Speaking Question 4: How often do you check your mail?
Answer : Well, regularly. May be on a daily basis, I would say. Mails are important for me, because my work does not allows me to meet as many people for networking, so we mostly connect using mails, delaying the work does not makes sense.
IELTS Speaking Question 5: Do you think writing emails has strengthened or weakened people’s writing skills?
Answer A: Definitely strengthened. We are not talking about the informal mails to friends and family where one just sends in message in whatever language they want. But, if talking about the formal mails or the semi-formal mails, people have surely improved. Because, earlier it was one to one talk, but now along with talk there are messages being send. And I think writing mails gives an idea of the language as well.
