PART – 1 INTRO
What is your full name?
My name is Kulpreet Kumar.
How may I address you?
You may address me as Kulpreet.
May I see your ID?
Sure, here it is.
Tell me about the place you are living in.
Well currently I live in an apartment in downtown Hanoi. It’s quite a bustling area with a lot of shops, offices and quite a big park just around the corner from my house. You can also find people from all walks of life around the area.
Do you know a lot of people there?
No, not really. I know just a couple of people who live in my building, but otherwise I don’t really know anyone.
Do you like your neighbours?
Sure. I mean we don’t meet each other very often or anything but they all seem to be nice, friendly people.
How often do you drink water?
I drink a lot of water every day. Probably I drink between 2-3 litres a day, depending on how hot it is, or how much exercise I have.
Do you often drink bottled water or tap water?
Well, unfortunately tap water is full of chemicals that are harmful to your health, so I never drink it. I only drink filtered water that comes in big plastic containers.

Human civilization has evolved countless times over the course of history. We as a species have experienced global environmental, social and political changes throughout different eras. The way humans approach life has also altered considerably.
Today, technology has become an inherent part of human life. We cannot imagine our daily lives without smartphones, laptops, or televisions. However, there was a time when such devices were considered a novelty. An age I would like to talk about is the 20th century.
The 20th century mainly ranges from the 1900s to the late 1990s. During this period, the entire world was experiencing remarkable changes. The 20th century was dominated by global events that shaped the modern era. Events like the Spanish flu pandemic, World War I and World War 2, and several other monumental events occurred in this century. Humankind achieved stupendous feats in space exploration, decolonization, technological advances, nuclear weapons, and many other fields.

Life was uncomplicated and straightforward compared to present times in the 20th century. This age witnessed global-scale events and civilization-altering inventions. However, civilian life was quite simple. It was only during the late 20th century that technology developed to such an extent that it became a household necessity. The 20th century is often considered the transformative era where society transitioned to a technologically dependent civilization.
Apart from technological advancements, there were revolutionary changes in international law, intergovernmental relations, and the ecological structure of the world. There was tremendous progress in communication technology, digitalization, and mass media. The present degree of ease and comfort we enjoy due to the aid of technology was possible due to the astounding achievements in every field accomplished in the 20th century.

PART – 3 FOLLOW UPS
1. What do you think we can learn by studying events of the past?
I think we can learn a lot by studying history. Just as individual people learn from their mistakes, societies can learn from the mistakes made by previous governments or leaders.
For example, from what I’ve read in the newspapers, many economists are looking back to the time of the Great Depression, around 80 years ago, in order to understand the financial crisis that is currently affecting many countries around the world. Even if we don’t always learn from mistakes, I think it’s fascinating to study history because it gives us an insight into who we are and where we come from.
2. What important events do you think might take place in the future?
It’s really difficult to predict what will happen in the future; most of the big, historic events of the past would have been impossible to foresee.
For example, I don’t think that anyone living 100 years ago could have imagined that people would one day walk on the moon! If I had to guess what might happen in the future, I’d like to think that scientists will invent cures for diseases like cancer, and we’ll all live longer.
