Do you like flowers? (Why?
Yes, I do like flowers. As an introvert, sometimes, I find myself feeling peaceful and relaxed while enjoying nice flowers in my garden. I have a habit of taking pictures of flowers after the rain. I feel most at peace spending chunks of good time on my own, in relative silence, contemplating the beauty of flowers with raindrops through my camera lens.
Which/What is your favorite flower?
White roses are truly my favorite flower. They are traditionally associated with marriages and new beginnings. However, their beauty has also made them a gesture of remembrance. Therefore, a bouquet of white rose is a perfect way to say “I’m thinking of you”.
Do you think flowers are important?
For an introvert like me, enjoying the harmonization of various types of flowers with different gorgeous colors in the garden or in florist shops could brighten up my days and lift my spirits.
Are flowers important in your culture? (Give examples)
Definitely. With beautiful meanings, some flowers are chosen to show people’s key virtues. Lotus flowers, for example, have been regarded as the national flower. The lotus plants grow from the marsh but their leaves and flowers grow toward the direction of the sunlight, which symbolizes the purity and faithfulness of people’s spirits.
Do people in your country ever use flowers for special occasions?
Flowers are widely used in many occasions and festivals in our country to represent for a blessing, happiness and good luck. Most families have at least one kind of plants or flowers at home.
What are the occasions when people give or receive flowers?
A bunch of flowers is considered as a gift for a wide range of occasions for both people to send and receive flowers. For example, in a birthday party, Women’s day, or Valentine’s day, colorful flowers are arranged nicely in a small vase and given to each other.
In your country, do people (ever) give flowers as a gift?
Yes, they do. As mention above, flowers play an essential role in different occasions as a special gift for people to show love to one another. People, especially girls, are happy and pleased when they receive their favorite flowers from beloved ones on their birthday.
When was the last time you gave flowers to someone?
It was a couple of weeks ago when I bought a bouquet of flowers as a present for my mom. She was deliriously happy when receiving it and put in the sitting room so that everyone in my family can admire its beauty too.
What do you do in your spare time?
Because I’d prefer staying at home so I spend my spare time for my hobbies. Usually I’ll start by turning on some music. If I have plenty of time, I’ll get straight to dancing or drawing. Otherwise, if it’s just a quick break, social network would definitely a good choice.
When do you spend time with your family?
Since my parents go to work for a whole day, I and my younger brother has classes every day, so we only meet to have dinner in the evening. Although we’re busy with our own schedule, we try to maintain the family-dinner as regularly as possible, so having dinner with my family has apparently become a habit.
What do you usually do on weekends? What did you do last weekend?
Weekends are my pamper days, if I don’t have to go to the supermarket to fill my fridge or meet my friends. Of course the first thing I’ll do every weekend is to oversleep as long as I could. Though I stay at home, weekends don’t get me away from work. However, I can spend more time to chill out.
I’d like to cook myself a big yummy meal and watch some TV while eating. The it’s time for hobbies. I’d probably practice dancing for a while or go online chatting with my friends a bit longer. And when the night comes after planning what to do next week, I’ll give myself some treatment and go to bed early.
What do other people in your hometown (or in your country) usually do on weekend?
As far as I’m concerned, people in Vietnam have a number of things to do on weekends. They can go shopping. They can play sports or they can have drink with their friends at some nice coffee shops. Due to the weather condition, most people prefer getting outdoor during nighttime.
What are you going to do next weekend?
I don’t have any actual plan for weekends to be honest. If I’m free and the weather is nice, probably I’d have a drink and chit chat with my friends, since we don’t see each other often during weekdays. Otherwise I’ll just stay home, continue with my work and enjoy myself.
Do you think it is important to make the most of your weekend?
I absolutely agree with this idea. Call me a workaholic but to me weekend is a perfect time for revising and planning ahead for the incoming week. With final-year students, our weekends are no different from weekdays except for no classes. I think we had better get familiar with it and try to make use of our weekends.
Do you feel that weekends now are more important to you than when you were a child?
Yes, weekends or day-offs have become so important to me this year. Classes take away so much time that we barely have time for self-study or revision, not to mention taking care of ourselves. Back then I was of course more relaxed. There were no pressure, no deadlines and I had my parents take care of me.

Mothers are the most wonderful creations of God on this earth. A mother’s love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible. My mom is a never-ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness and well-being. I may sometimes forget the words, but always remember its tune. I belie that a good mother is worth than hundred schoolmasters. Really my mom is a true picture of maternity. She plays an indispensable role in my life.
She possesses the qualities of a malleable metal, wherein she moulds herself to the needs and wants of her kids, but at the same time stays strict and strong (as a metal) to guide her kids as to what is good for them and their future. Her love and care, the ability to work for long hours at thankless tasks without complaining are some of her many qualifies. These days the ability to go out and earn a living for her children has made a mother more fabulous and charismatic!
Not only this she is also virtuous lady with a blend of patience, compassionate feelings, the wisdom to listen even though you want to screen a loving touch, a gentle smile, super high energy levels and the ability to dish out the punishments f ever necessary. A good communicator also possesses that intuition that we all hear so often. I salute and admire this wonderful masterpiece of the planet.

Why do children share their secrets with mother mostly?
The attachment between a mother and her children is the dearest, deepest and charming in the world. Mother is the only human being on the earth. Her children have most intimate relation. The irresistible love and affection of a mother gives her children confidence to share their secrets mostly with her.
Who is the more important for a man? Mother or Wife?
Conjugal life apart, a mother is the most important person far as man. So, for love, affection and care for her children are concerned, a mother is always on top. A mother cannot be compared with anybody even with the father.
What is the importance of mother in the world?
A mother in broader sense means a female parent. A mother is source from whom we all are born on this earth. The significance of a mother is beyond measure. There is no limit to the care and affection of a mother towards her children. A mother is the first nurse to her child. A mother is the first teacher in the life of a child.
