PART – 1 INTRO PART
What is your full name?
My name is Sarita Sharma.

Here it is! This is my passport.
Where are you from?
I belong to Jaipur which is in the state of Rajasthan.
What do you do?
I’ve recently completed my graduate degree in business administration, and at the moment, I work for Infosys as a business consultant.
Can you describe your work?
I interact with clients constantly to find the right solution to the problems that they’ve identified in the request for proposal. As a part for the request for the proposal (RFP) process, I travel to the client location/office to understand their business environment, do a detailed study of their business operations; post this I’ve detailed sessions/workshops with the client to finalize our approach on implementing their business processes our offshore/onshore location.
Do you enjoy your work?
Oh, it’s a great job; it’s full of challenges whereby I tend to learn too many things. What I studied theoretically during my studies is the real job environment and workplace etiquettes reinforce (=strengthen, fortify) my learning. Words fall short to appreciate the professionalism of our company, Infosys.
What parts of your work do you like the most?
When we meet clients and try to understand their problems, we tend to learn a lot from the client interaction. There’s no doubt that we find the best suited solutions for them but in a real sense, more than a client, I develop myself with the business acumen (=astuteness, sharp-wittedness) professionally. It feels like I’m yet a student who learns everyday a new chapter. It’s full of excitement and motivation for me.
Do you like dreams?
Yes, I do because only in dreams you don’t apply your logic but it’s your dream that dictates you. Moreover, in dreams one could do all unimaginable things which may be quite far from reality.
Do you remember some of your dreams?
Yes, I do. Not all of them but a few of them I remember. I also remember some of the dreams that I used to have as a child. I used to have wild imaginations like I had wings attached to my back and I was all out like a bird and flying from one place to another. Funny, isn’t it!
Do you think dreams have meanings?
To some extent, I correlate dreams to our imagination and there’s in fact a strong relation between what you imagine and what you’ve in dreams. I’m not an expert in analyzing or studying dreams but my rough assumption suggests me that it’s a pure reflection of what we think day in, day out (=continuously, repeatedly).
Can they be interpreted?
Maybe, ‘Yes’. But an expert would be able to throw some light accurately. Your dreams are your shadows, your shades, your mindset, and your disposition (= temperament, nature). Some dreams come true as well. It’s also believed that many people chase their dreams and they realize them passionately. It’s a detailed study, in fact, and honestly I desire to dig deeper into this subject.
Do you have a lot of friends?
Yes, I do. When I was in school, I had too many friends. During my higher secondary, I changed my school where I made more friends. During my studies in two different colleges for undergraduate and graduate studies, I made friends there only. I love to be with friends because it’s a real fun. Some friends inspire you from the good, and others teach you a lesson by ditching. I see that untoward (=unexpected, unanticipated, inconvenient) experience also in a positive manner.
Would you prefer to have one good friend or many friends?
If I talk about my approach towards friendship, I would say that I would love to have more than one good friend but of course, not too many. I mean four to five good friends make sense in life. With too many friends, it’s hard to allocate time in friendship whereas with a limited number of friends one can enjoy the most by organizing frequent meetings and gathering for hangouts.

SAMPLE ANSWER:-
I’m very proud of our Indian history and heritage. Thankfully, my grandfather who was an avid (=keen, eager) reader of history infused the importance of history on my mind. I still remember, when I was in school, my grandfather described the important historical events based on his readings and heresy from generation to generation.
One of the historical incidents has left a great impression of velour (=bravery, fearlessness), patriotism, courage, honor, resilience (=toughness, the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties) and love against all odds on my mind. It’s of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. He was the founder of the Sikh Empire. He ruled the northwest Indian subcontinent in the early half of the 19th century.
The great Ranjit Singh survived smallpox in infancy but unfortunately he lost his left eye. In his first battle with Afghan ruler Shah Zaman who was the descendant of the Ahmed Shah Abdali Dynasty, Ranjit Singh killed the Afghan ruler general and routed (=defeat) his army. In the following year, the Afghan ruler again sent in his army but it was no match up with the wit and strength of Ranjit Singh. He bit the dust (=fail). One after another war, this great warrior went on running over all his foreign rulers and attackers, and won and ruled the entire Punjab, Kashmir and Kabul in his time. He’s popularly known as “Sher-E-Punjab” means “Lion of Punjab”.

Do you like history?
Yes, I do like history because it represents the ancestral values, roots and one’s identity. While reading any historical event, I imagine how the life would be then. Most of the time, I get upset because history is full of bloodbath. I always wish to punish all the foreign invaders who attempted to desecrate (=violate, profane) our Indian civilization. Today, we are stronger than the strongest, and we would have bulldozed them and their lofty aspirations and effrontery (=impudence, audacity).
How do people know of history?
History is taught at the primary level school, and we have many TV serials on the life of great rulers and other heroes of our country. The person like me who takes keen interest in history reads various biographies and stories related to such heroes on the internet and “YouTube” also.
Do you think only major historical figures are remembered and others are ignored?
Yes, that’s true and it’s very sad also. Only those personalities who were very popular generally get the listing, leaving the unsung and forgotten heroes behind. Ironically, that’s the way cookie crumbles (=that’s the way situation, is and must be accepted, however undesirable [North American idiom).
Why do you think so?
In the past, during the reins of emperors they did not allow others to take the pride of their exceptional talent and heroic acts. They were self-centric and always wanted their names only to be carved in the history. The concept of nation state did not exist during emperors’ rule. So, at the will of the ruler, they were put behind in the darkness of injustice.
