Did you eat ice cream when you were a child?
Yes, I have fond memories of enjoying ice cream as a child. It was a special treat that my parents would occasionally surprise me with. Whether it was a visit to an ice cream parlor or a simple bowl of homemade ice cream, those moments brought me great joy and a sense of excitement.

Yes, I’m fortunate to have several ice cream shops conveniently located near my residence. They offer a wide selection of flavors and toppings, making it easy for me to satisfy my occasional cravings for ice cream.
Can you make ice cream yourself?
Absolutely! I have always been fascinated by the idea of making my own ice cream. The thought of experimenting with different flavors and ingredients to create a unique and personalized treat excites me. It would be a fun and rewarding experience to learn the art of ice cream making.

Do you often stay up late?
Yeah, sort of. I’m a typical night bird. And you know, just force of habit. It happens if the deadline’s coming up on weekdays. And the thing is, when it’s been the daily routine, it’s going to be really hard for me to sleep early on my days off.
Did you stay up late when you were a kid?
Well I’m not so sure about that coz it’s really a long time ago. I guess, I kept early hours when I was a little. After all, back then I wasn’t overwhelmed by the work or had to burn the midnight oil on weekdays.

What do you do when you stay up late?
Sometimes I have a lot of work to catch up on, like the prep work for presentation or going over the notes for the coming exam. By the way, on New Year’s Eve, I usually watch the Spring Festival Gala with my family members. It’s a kind of tradition in China, you know, to say farewell to the old and welcome the new.
What does it feel like the next morning if you stay up late?
If I continue the pattern, I mean, staying up late for more than 3 days, I probably feel sleepy the next day and just wanna have some caffeine to cheer me up. The interesting thing is, if I fust stay up late once in a while, you know, to prepare something important for the exam day or something like that, I’m gonna in high spirits the next morning and even excel myself.

A water sport that I fancied to experience for a long time is Scuba diving. The life underwater has always fascinated me, and it would grant me the opportunity to come in contact with the flora and fauna of marine life. As seen in some documentaries, unlike other water activities which involve noises, Scuba diving is a calm and serene sport in which the diver gets away from the troubles of the outer world, experiencing a whole different world altogether. All we are surrounded by is incredible sea creatures and hear the sound of bubbles while we breathe. It is captivating the way humans can breathe deeply underwater with other oceanic beings and coral reefs.

Unfortunately on my last vacation to Goa, I planned but had to cancel my Scuba diving reservations due to some unavoidable medical conditions. I felt envious of my cousins who did it and couldn’t stop talking about how relaxing it was which made me all the more curious. Therefore, this year on my vacation to Kerala, I would definitely love to experience this thrilling sport.
As far as I’ve learned, Scuba diving is considered to be a less complicated sport. It is said to eliminate stress. As underwater we have zero gravity, scuba diving is like flying underwater and being weightless. It is full of fun and though there’s a professional trainer present with us under water, some people who have aqua phobia might feel claustrophobic or fear the marine creatures.
As exploring nature is a meditation in itself, being surrounded by the exotic marine creatures would be a dream I’d like to live forever. Considering that 70% of the world is under the sea which clearly means that it’s unexplored. Therefore, getting to see that undiscovered part with just a dive would be a once in a lifetime experience. There’s no better feeling that encountering those unique species for the first time.

Yes, schools should incorporate swimming in their curriculum for a variety of reasons. To begin with, it is a necessary life skill that has the potential to save lives, as drowning is still a significant cause of accidental death, particularly among children. Second, swimming increases physical fitness and well-being, which helps to address the growing concern of sedentary lives and childhood obesity. It also teaches discipline, collaboration, and self-confidence.
Finally, it introduces kids to water safety techniques and fosters a healthy regard for bodies of water, all of which contribute to overall safety. In conclusion, incorporating swimming into school curricula is a well-rounded method that not only provides children with necessary survival skills but also enhances their health and personal development.

Are there many schools teaching swimming?
Swimming instruction in schools varies by area, but in many places, it is a fundamental part of the school curriculum. Swimming lessons are prevalent in areas where there is access to pools and a strong emphasis on water safety.
However, differences exist, and swimming programs may be less widespread in other communities, particularly those without easy access to aquatic facilities. Swimming education in schools is mostly determined by local resources and the significance placed on water safety and physical fitness in the specific educational system.
