Learn new words

Read the questions first

Before starting with the reading passage, you should is still the habit in yourself that you must look out the questions first. However, most of the student doesn’t perform this sense the questions are related to the text only. Knowing the questions beforehand will help you know what to look out for as you read.

After reading the passage in the first time, return to the questions and re-read them. This will help you to point which sections of the passage you need to pay careful attention to.

Recall about Spelling and Counts 

If your answers are written with incorrect spelling, then your marks will be deducted. In addition to this, you also need to look for the word limit given in the instruction.  

Labelling diagram

When you come across with a diagram labelling type, then you should make it clear that you label the diagram with the correct spellings as you need to just accurately copy the text from the passage. 

Other Tips 

  • The recommendation is that you spend 20 minutes on each passage.
  • Never leave the blank empty.
  • Carry your own stationery in order to and avoid any mistake. As you will be transferring your answers with the pencil make sure if the answer ago was it wrong you should have eraser along with it. 
  • For the True/False questions, you can write “T” or “F” instead of True or False, respectively
  • Questions aren’t always linear, meaning the process of answering them doesn’t necessarily have one starting and ending point
