Your English teacher has invited you for her wedding. But, you are unable to attend the function.
Write a letter to her. In your letter
– thank her for sending the invitation
– explain why you cannot attend the ceremony
– give information about any future plan to see her
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Deepali Ma’am,
I believe you are doing well. Thank you very much for inviting me to your wedding. Unfortunately, it would not be possible for me to attend the ceremony as these days I am in an overseas training program facilitated by my organization. This training is an essential part of my job profile and would upgrade my knowledge. Hence, it is not feasible for me to take a break and travel to India.
It would have been a great pleasure for me to be a part of this special occasion of your life as you have been a mentor to me during my graduation. Your guidance and motivation have always helped me in making important choices about career and life. Certainly, you were one of the best faculties in the Bachelor of Arts course in Satya College. I will surely visit you when I return to Delhi, probably by the end of November this year.
Once again thank you for inviting me. I wish you all the best for your wedding and life ahead.
