You have been working for a company for some time and other rival companies are willing to employ you with a higher salary for all the practical experience you have gained.
Write a letter to your company manager and in your letter:
– Explain the situation;
– Say what you would like the manager to do (increase the salary,etc);
– Say what action you would take in case the manager fails to meet your demands.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Mr Klinton,
I am writing to you about some aspects related to the company and my work. Last week, I was offered a high-paying job by “Amazon”company. I would like to tell you my thoughts on this.
As you know, I am the only one in the family who works and my son was accepted to Florida State University with a 50% grant two months ago. However,we have to pay the 50% contract.If we do not pay, my child will not be able to continue his education, so increase my salary.
“Amazon”is offering me $160.000 a year and your company has been giving me $100.000 a year.I have to say that my wage does not cover my expenses. It is true that I had a lot of experience,good and kind colleagues and a successful career at “Tesla”, but for the reasons I mentioned above, I am leaving your office. If you do not raise my earning, I will be forced to continue working at “Amazon”.
I hope you will accept my requirements.I look forward to hearing from you.
