IELTS GENERAL WRITING TASK 1

You would like a temporary job working in a summer camp which runs sports and outdoor activities for children and young people next summer.

Write a letter to the organizers of the summer camp. In your letter:

1. Explain what sort of job you would like to do.

2. Describe your personality.

3. Say what experience and skills you have.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear/Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest in a temporary job at summer camp as I am good at planning sports and outdoor activities.I have a couple of years of training experience in running and I can also extend my support to other sports such as tennis and swimming as well. If required I can take charge as an event organiser as per the need basis.

I am very much healthy and perfectly all right to apply to this position as I received a doctor’s certificate for my physical and mental health conditions. In addition, having enough height and weight is an advantage to train the sports students. I can work during the night as well as I would prefer to sleep for a limited time only.

Despite, having a couple of years of experience in sports training at a local school, I can also teach swimming techniques to young people. I did my degree in sports-related training topics and I am a topper in the university. If required I would happy to provide my current employer reference as part of the verification. Please feel free to drop a note to me if you need any additional details regarding my skills and experience.
