Dear Premier,
I am a law abiding and tax paying citizen of your state. I am writing this letter to express my disappointment at the state government’s decision to block mobile internet connectivity during the public protest against caste based reservation in the state on 25th August 2015.
The civil rights movement went out of administration’s hands. Bizarrely, on the same night, the state government blocked mobile internet connectivity for the greater good a precise hokum. However, I feel that the move was quite unacceptable and over the top. I understand that the government did so to mitigate the risk of rumor spreading. Instead, the government could have gone ahead blocking only mobile application called ‘whatsapp’ which is a main source to connect people. I am a businessman, and it is difficult to transact routine business and other personal jobs. Regrettably, all were tarred with the same brush by the local administration.
It is an act of snatching a fundamental right of citizens. Therefore, please convince me why I should not file a Public Interest Litigation against the state.
