You saw a stray dog being mistreated by your neighbor. You went to Police Station to lodge a police complaint but it was denied. Write a letter to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the same.

Dear Deputy Commissioner of Police,
I am writing to draw your attention about a serious crime committed by my neighbor, and how the Police Department turned a blind eye to this incident.
I live at 49 Jewel Residency, Prahllad Nagar, Ahmedabad 380015 India. My next-door neighbor, Yezdi Balsara, beat a stray dog mercilessly on 27 August 2015. The moment I heard the dog crying, I rushed to the spot to end this brutal act. He confronted me. The poor dog was thrashed with a stick and he was badly injured and under trauma. I decided to take up this matter to Police Station. However, the inspector on duty refused to take my complaint and taunted, “It is a worthless crime to register.”
I was taken aback by this statement. Under Indian Penal Code 428 and 429, it is an offence to injure or maim any animal. Enclosed are the snaps and video footage of the incident.
