You are living in a rented apartment in an English speaking country. You are facing some problem in the kitchen. Write a letter to a friend, describing the problems in the kitchen and ask him/her how to fix.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear R,
Hope this letter finds you in radiant health and the best of spirits. I have shifted to a rented apartment near my college as the Halls of Residence were very expensive. I am writing this letter to take your help regarding a problem I am facing in my kitchen.
You know very well that our Indian cooking involves some frying, but whenever I make paranthas or stuffed chapatti, my smoke alarm starts beeping at its loudest pitch and I have to stop all cooking there and then. I remember you once told me that you had a similar problem. I would be very thankful if you guide me as to how you fixed it.
How is everything at your end? Did you find the new job you were looking for, or are you sticking on to the previous one? I have also started applying to various places as my course will be over soon. I did not get any reply yet, but I am not panicking. I am sure I will get some job or the other soon.
