You got a ticket to a sporting event. But you cannot attend it due to some reason. Write a letter to your friend offering him the ticket.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Eilisha,
Hope this letter finds you in radiant health and the best of spirits. How is everything at your end? My uncle has arranged a ticket for me for the T20 Cricket match at Mohali Stadium Chandigarh. Unfortunately, I cannot go there as there is a trade exhibition on that very day in which I am representing my company.
I know you are a cricket fan. During our college days, you never used to miss any cricket match and also were an active player of the college cricket team. So when my uncle offered me this ticket, I did not say no even though I knew I would not be able to go.
Do let me know if you are interested. The match is on the 20th of next month. I have heard that all the tickets are already sold out. The match is between India and Pakistan and people are crazy about India Pakistan matches. I can send you the ticket by mail.
Rest all is fine here. Do come over some time. It would be fun to revive some old nostalgic memories of our college days.
