Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter with response to your advertisement in the Tribune, dated 20th January, 2021 to apply for the post of looking after the elderly in a nursing home. My name is Shumita Bhata and I have just completed my diploma in Gerontology from Delhi University and that is why I am interested in the job.
This job is very much related to my field of study and I would like to help the aged in the Old Age Home of this locality. During my diploma course, we were told all about the problems of the elderly. Their main problem is social isolation, but they also have health problems. During our course we were also given practical training in various nursing homes. I could take very good care of them because of my educational background.
