You want to organise a small charity sale in your office building to support a local cause. Write a letter to the building manager.
In your letter:
• Describe the charity and what items you plan to sell
• Ask for permission to use a common area
• Explain how you will manage the setup and clean-up
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Mr. Sharma,
I hope you are well. I’m writing to request permission to organise a small charity sale in the lobby of our office building next Saturday.
The event aims to support Helping Hands, a local non-profit that assists underprivileged children with school supplies. We plan to sell handmade crafts, books, and homemade snacks, contributed by employees across different departments.
If allowed, we would like to set up in the main common area near the entrance from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., as it receives good foot traffic. We will ensure the event does not disrupt normal operations.
Our team will handle all arrangements, including setting up tables, supervising the sale, and cleaning up thoroughly afterwards. We will leave the area exactly as we found it.
