A local newspaper has conducted a competition recently to find a person who contributed the most to society. Write a letter to the editor with a recommendation for a suitable person. In your letter, you should tell:

– who is that person

– what is his/her contribution

– how did you meet him/her

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear Editor,

I am writing to recommend Mr. John Smith as the person who has made the most significant contribution to society. Mr. Smith is a dedicated volunteer who has been working tirelessly for over a decade to support underprivileged children in our community. He runs free educational programs, provides mentorship, and organizes recreational activities to help these children build a better future.

I first met Mr. Smith during a community event two years ago, where he was coordinating a fundraising drive to support local schools. I was immediately impressed by his selflessness and determination to make a difference. Since then, I have seen firsthand how his efforts have transformed the lives of many children, providing them with opportunities they would not otherwise have had.

Mr. Smith’s continuous dedication and impactful work make him a deserving candidate for this recognition.
