A large company in your area has decided to spend a certain amount of money, either to sponsor a local children’s sports team for two years, or to pay for two open-air concerts. It has asked for feedback from the general public. Write a letter to the company. In your letter

-Describe the benefits of sponsoring the sports team

-Summarise the benefits of paying for the concerts

-Say how you think the company should spend the money

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to share my opinion on how your company should use the allocated funds.

Sponsoring a local children’s sports team would be a wonderful investment in the community’s future. It would encourage healthy lifestyles among young people, teach teamwork, and build the company’s image as a supporter of youth development. Such sponsorship would also create long-term community engagement and loyalty.

On the other hand, funding two open-air concerts would bring immediate enjoyment to a wider audience. It would promote local culture, attract visitors, and provide entertainment for families, enhancing the town’s social life.

While both ideas are beneficial, I believe sponsoring the sports team would have a more lasting and meaningful impact. It would not only help children grow physically and mentally but also associate your company with positive community values.
