There is construction taking place near your home and the noise is disturbing you. Write a letter to your local council. In the letter,

-Describe the construction

-Explain why the construction is a problem for you

-Say what you would like them to do about it.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to you regarding the current construction that is being performed near my house, which is the building of the new supermarket for the neighbour.

Let me explain my situation. The construction works start at 5:00 AM, all of my neighbours’ jobs and mine require us to be at work at 9:00 AM , so there is a waste of 2 hours we are being annoyed at and waking up from our beds instead of being asleep after a long day of working and taking care of our families.

I am kindly requesting you to shift the start time of these works to 9:00 AM, so that it doesn’t disturb me or my neighbours while we are asleep to get up early and being refreshed in the morning and perfom better in our jobs without being tired.
