A colleague gave you a book which you used for your presentation. Write a letter to your colleague. In your letter:

– Mention what the presentation was about.

– Explain why the presentation was important.

– Describe how the book helped you.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear James,

I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to sincerely thank you for lending me the book “Effective Business Communication” last week. I used it to prepare for my recent presentation on communication strategies in corporate settings.

The presentation was part of our annual leadership workshop, attended by senior managers and directors. It was a crucial opportunity for me to showcase my understanding of internal communication processes and contribute to improving team collaboration across departments.

Your book was immensely helpful, especially the chapters on non-verbal communication and persuasive techniques. I was able to incorporate several practical examples and strategies that really impressed the audience. In fact, many colleagues asked for a copy of my slides afterward!

Thanks again for your support—it made a big difference. I’ll return the book tomorrow.
