You are part of a business group that holds monthly events and is looking for guest speakers. Write a letter to your event coordinator.

In your letter:

• Recommend someone you know who would be a great speaker

• Explain what the person does and why they’re suitable

• Offer to help coordinate the session

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear Emily,

I hope you’re doing well. I’d like to recommend a guest speaker for our upcoming business group event. A close colleague of mine, Mr. J Singh, would be an excellent choice. He is a leadership consultant with over 12 years of experience advising startups and mid-sized companies on strategic growth and innovation.

Arjun recently delivered a talk on “Agile Leadership in Uncertain Times,” which was incredibly well-received. His engaging style and real-world insights make him a valuable addition to any professional forum. I believe our group would benefit greatly from his expertise, especially given the current business climate.
