You have lost your library card and want to get a replacement. Write a letter to the library. In your letter:

• Explain when and how you lost the card

• Ask for the steps to get a new one

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to inform you that I have lost my library card and would like to request a replacement.

I believe I lost the card last Friday while returning home from the library. I had placed it in my jacket pocket after borrowing a book, but it must have slipped out somewhere on the way. I have searched thoroughly but haven’t been able to locate it.

Could you please guide me through the process of obtaining a new library card? I am also curious to know whether I need to provide any identification documents or photographs during the process.

Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could inform me about any charges or fees involved in issuing a replacement card. I am eager to continue using library services and hope to resolve this quickly.
