You recently stayed at a hotel and experienced significant noise early in the morning due to a faulty central heating system. The manager had promised to contact you regarding compensation, but you haven’t heard back. Instructions:
– Describe the problem at the hotel.
– Explain what the manager had said at the time.
– State what you want the manager to do.
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently stayed at your hotel from March 10th to 13th in Room 407. Unfortunately, my experience was disrupted by loud banging noises early each morning caused by a faulty central heating system.
The noise began around 5 a.m. and lasted over an hour, making it impossible to rest properly. When I reported the issue to the front desk, the manager assured me that maintenance would look into it. He also promised that I would be contacted regarding compensation for the inconvenience.
However, it has now been over two weeks, and I have yet to receive any follow-up. I am disappointed by the lack of communication and would like to request an update on the promised compensation.
I hope to receive a prompt response and a fair resolution.
