Dear Mr. Smith,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to inform you that I will need to take a leave of absence from the IELTS classes for a little over two weeks due to some personal reasons.

Recently, a family emergency has arisen, and I need to travel to my hometown to support my parents. I plan to be away from April 25th to May 12th, and I kindly request your understanding during this time.

Despite being away, I am committed to staying up to date with the course. I will continue to review the class materials shared online and complete all homework assignments on time. Additionally, I plan to practice writing and speaking tasks regularly and will stay in touch with a classmate for any updates or notes.
