IELTS GENERAL TRAINING TASK 1

You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour. Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter you should:

introduce yourself describe your plans for the party and invite your neighbour to come to the party.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear Mr Smith,

I hope you are do well! I am writing to invite you to a party at my home as I bought it recently. My name is Pramod, and I am your neighbour living in the unit 104 which is next to your house.

As I am new to this neighbourhood, I would like to meet you and get familiar with each other. I am working as a software developer at a tech company located in the downtown. However, during the weekend, I go to a sports club where my friends and I play badminton. If you would like to join us, we would be happy to a play sport with you.

Talking about the party, there will be a delicious food made by my mom and vintage vines. Additionally, there will be a loud music playing till 2 am and I hope that does not disturbs you. Although I already got the permission for the late night party from all neighbours, I beg my pardon if its disturb you.

I would be glad if you would come to the party.
