IELTS GENERAL TRAINING TASK 1

You are going to throw a party and would like to cook a special dish for your guests but do not have the recipe. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

– Tell your friend why you are having a party

– Explain what dish you want to cook and ask your friend for the recipe

– Invite your friend to the party

Dear Kerat,

I hope you and your family are doing well. I am writing this letter to made a request regarding sharing a recipe for making a cake for a birthday party of my husband on September 1st.

This occasion would be organised in the back yard of my house for my spouse. As we have been residing in different nations since 2020 so this is the first time that I would celebrate this special day with him because he reached my place on August 27th.

Therefore, I wish to prepare a five pound fruit cake which might be of two floors. Although I know how to make it, I have heard that you prepare more delicious. Hence, please send me your recipe on my email.

Also, it would be great if you could come with your family members. I would really appreciate it if you would assist me preparing this cake as per your convenience.

I hope would comprehend it, and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
