IELTS GENERAL TRAINING TASK 1

A friend of yours is thinking of going to a camping holiday for the first time this summer. He has asked for your advice. Write a letter to your friends. In your letter, Explain why you think your friend would enjoy camping holiday describe some possible disadvantages say whether you would like to go on camping with your friend this summer.

SAMPLE ANSWER

Dear Michael,

I hope there will be everything fine. It is an amazing idea to go out for camping in this summer. It is one of the most adventurous thing to do in your life.

You would be glad to know that last year in summer I did camping with one of my friends near Shimla. If you are thinking of camping, I guess you would going to enjoy there a lot. Camping itself is the best experience for everybody. You could enjoy a lot there because it will take you more closer to the nature. At night time, you can observe the freshness of the air as well as the noise and pollution-free environment. It exactly feels like you are on a totally different planet.

There is no doubt about the enjoyment and excitement of camping but you should also remain alert and safe. There are certain types of risks are involved while camping as such types of places are totally new to us. There could be some insects, snakes and lizards which can be proven dangerous. As camping can be done in remote areas so you should try to have at least a couple of friends with you. If you don’t mind I can join with you as I have also some experience of camping which could be beneficial for you.
