IELTS GENERAL WRITING TASK 1

Write a letter to your neighbour about the damage that occurred to your car while he was parking his car in the lane outside your home. In the letter, you should:

– describe the damage

– say how you feel about this problem

– suggest to him what actions he should take.

Dear [Neighbour’s Name],

I hope you are well. I’m writing to inform you about an incident that occurred while you were parking your car in the lane outside my home. Unfortunately, my car was damaged during the process.

The damage includes a noticeable dent on the rear door and scratches along the side, likely caused by your car’s bumper. I’ve attached some photos for reference.

I must admit that I’m quite upset about this situation, as it has caused inconvenience and additional costs for me. I would appreciate it if you could take responsibility for the repair costs and contact your insurance company to handle the matter.

Could you please let me know how you plan to address this issue? I believe it would be fair for us to come to a resolution as soon as possible.
