SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear [Teacher’s Name],
I hope this letter finds you well. I recently heard about your retirement from a former classmate and wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for all the positive impact you had on my life.
You were such an incredible teacher because you always made learning feel meaningful and enjoyable. Your passion for the subject was contagious, and your ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way made every lesson engaging. You also fostered a classroom environment where everyone felt comfortable and encouraged to participate, which made a huge difference in my confidence and academic performance.
Personally, your guidance has stayed with me long after I left your class. The critical thinking skills and work ethic I developed under your mentorship have shaped my approach to challenges in both my studies and my personal life.
