Your son lives abroad as an international student. You have received an invitation from his college for the convocation. However, you cannot attend the convocation.
Write a letter to your son:
– Express your feelings about the convocation
– Convey your inability to join him
– Propose what will you do to make up for this

I hope this letter finds you well. I was thrilled to receive the invitation to your convocation! It’s a significant milestone, and I’m so proud of all your hard work and dedication.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend due to prior commitments. I’m truly disappointed to miss such a special day in your life.
To celebrate your achievement, I’d love to arrange a video call during the ceremony so I can be part of the moment, even from afar. Additionally, I plan to send you a special gift to commemorate your graduation. You deserve to be celebrated!
