Write a letter to a friend about the recent news you have received. In your letter, you should say:
– what the news is about and how you received it
– how it will impact or change your life
– invite your friend to celebrate the news with you
SAMPLE ANSWER
Dear [Friend’s Name],
I hope this letter finds you well. I’m writing to share some exciting news that I recently received! I’ve been offered a new job in a city I’ve always wanted to live in—San Francisco! I found out just last week when the company called me to extend the offer. It’s a fantastic opportunity that aligns perfectly with my career goals and personal interests.
This new job will bring several changes to my life. Firstly, it means relocating to a vibrant city with endless cultural and recreational activities, which I’m really looking forward to. It will also present new professional challenges and opportunities for growth. While I’m excited, I must admit that I’ll miss the familiarity of my current surroundings and our regular get-togethers.
To celebrate this milestone, I’d love for you to join me for a small farewell party at my place before the move. It would mean a lot to me to have you there and share this special moment. Let me know if you can make it; I’ll send the details soon.
