The table below describes the number of employees and factories in England and Wales from 1851 to 1901.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The table compares the number of employees and factories in England and Wales, during the period 1851 to 1901.
It is clear that the number of employees decreased dramatically in the 50 years period, from 477,100 in 1851 to 61,000 in 1901. By contrast, the number of factories increased from 225 to 600 during the 50 years.
Looking into the information in more detail, both the number of male employees, as well as female employees, dropped during 1851 to 1901. However, while there are 97,100 male employees more than female employees in 1851, the difference is getting smaller in the following years. Until 1901, the number for both kinds of employees are about the same, with the number of male employees sightly larger than female employees.
As for the number of factories, while there was a sharply increase during 1851 and 1881, with the number rose from 225 to 721, the number went down during the following 20 years, leading to a final number of 600 in 1901.
