El Nino is the name of a warm ocean current that affects weather patterns on both sides of the Pacific Ocean. The diagrams compare normal conditions in the Pacific with El Nino conditions.

The diagram, gives the information of the changes in the forecast during the normal and El-nino conditions over Pacific ocean.

Overall, it shows imbalance between west and east pacific coasts during both conditions.

Considering the normal weather, over the pacific ocean, the west coast depicts weaker winds which attracts the storm clouds and pouring the rain over the Australia. Furthermore, there is more warm water surface towards west coast and due to this rains giving better vegetation yields. However east coast bears strong trade winds during same time which gives sunny weather over Peru. After that, causing more cold water surface with nutrient rich leading to increased fish stocks.

During El-nino conditions, west pacific experience strong winds and east will face weak trade winds. Due to this storm clouds move towards east coast and pouring rain towards east side that is Peru. Because of this change the levels of warm water and cold water become same on both sides. In-turn causing decrease in nutrients and also, fishes. However, Australia having more sunny weather can lead to draught.
