The maps below show the village of Wotten-End in 1925 and 2015. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.

The two maps illustrate how the village of Wotten-End developed between 1925 and 2015.

In 1925, Wotten-End was a small rural village with several key features. There were farmlands on both sides of the village and a post office and shops located near the main road. A large house was situated in the northern part, and the area had limited infrastructure.

By 2015, the village had undergone significant urbanisation. The farmlands had been replaced by new housing developments, indicating population growth. The shops were removed, possibly due to modernization or relocation, while the post office remained intact. Additionally, a new main road was built, and a retirement home was constructed on the site of the former large house, suggesting a shift in demographic needs.

Overall, Wotten-End transformed from a sparsely populated rural village into a more developed residential area over the 90-year period.
