The charts show information about the percentage of men and women age 60-64 who were employed in four countries in 1970 ad 2000.

The bar charts illustrate the ratio of males and females with the age between 60 to 64 who still worked in Belgium, USA, Japan, and Indonesia from 1970 to 2000.

Overall, the total number of workers (both male and female) aged 60-64 decreased dramatically from 1970 to 2000. Furthermore, it is clear that the ratio of women who still worked in their 60s was lower than men in any country between 1970 and 2000, especially Belgiumin 2000.

The proportion of female workers with age 60-64 in Belgium started around 62% and decreased dramatically to just below 8% in 2000. A similar event happened in the USA where it started at around 78% and dropped significantly to about 41% in 2000. On the other hand, Japan and Indonesia only experienced a slight decline of about 10% from 1970 to2000.

In addition, the charts witnessed a noticeable increase in the gap between men and women aged 60-64 who still have occupation from 1970 to 2000in Belgium and the USA with approximately 28% and 15% gap difference, respectively. In contrast, Japan reduced its gap difference by15%, whilst Indonesia remained relatively steady at around 20% between 1970and 2000.
