The pie charts illustrate the revenue generated from five different industries in Togo in 2000 and projected figures for 2050.
In 2000, revenue was evenly distributed among soft beverages and information services, both generating $25 billion. Real estate followed closely at $20 billion, with life insurance and the semiconductor industry contributing $12 billion and $15 billion respectively. The total income stood at $97 billion.
By 2050, the total income is expected to double to $196 billion, with a dramatic shift in industry dominance. Information services are projected to generate $126 billion, making up nearly two-thirds of total revenue. Meanwhile, the soft beverages and real estate industries are expected to remain static at $25 billion each. Conversely, both life insurance and the semiconductor sector are projected to decline slightly, each contributing only $10 billion.
Overall, while the revenue is set to grow substantially, the information services sector is expected to become overwhelmingly dominant by 2050.
