SAMPLE ANSWER
The line graph illustrates the annual percentage increase in house prices from 1998 to 2005 in Britain, Australia, and the USA.
Overall, Britain experienced the most volatile changes in house price increases, while the USA saw the most stable trend. All three countries experienced a decline by 2005.
Between 1998 and 2002, house prices in Britain fluctuated, peaking at around 16% in 2002. The rate then surged to 27% in 2003 before falling sharply to below 5% by 2005. Australia followed a steadier upward trend until 2003, maintaining growth above 15%, before experiencing a steep drop to nearly 0% in 2005.
In contrast, the USA showed a gradual and consistent rise in house price increases from about 5% in 1998 to a peak of nearly 14% in 2004. However, by 2005, the rate slightly declined to around 13%, making it the most stable market over the period.
