The chart shows annual office rents in five international cities in 2008 and 2013 ($US I square metre). The table shows office vacancy rates in those cities. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart compares annual office rents in five cities in 2008 and 2013, while the table shows office vacancy rates in the same years.
In both years, City B had the highest rent, increasing from around $1,800 to approximately $2,300 per square metre. City D, however, had the lowest rent in 2008 (around $500) but experienced a noticeable increase by 2013. Conversely, rents in City A and City E decreased slightly over the five years.
Regarding vacancy rates, City D saw a dramatic rise from 10% to 23%, the highest among all cities in 2013. In contrast, City B‘s rate dropped significantly from 7% to 2%, making it the most occupied. City E also showed a notable decline from 16% to 9%.
Overall, while some cities saw rent increases, others experienced declines. The vacancy rates do not always correlate with rent changes, as seen in City D’s rising rent but high vacancy.
