The following two pie charts show the results of a survey into the popularity of various leisure activities among European adults in 1985 and 1995. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

SAMPLE ANSWER

These two pie charts illustrate a survey about activities that European adults did for leisure in 1985 and the next 10 years. Overall, it is clear that each study resulted in different activities they dominated.

In 1985, the data was categorised into five items. People preferred to watch TV, with exactly 32 per cent of them did it. Then it was followed by eating out, with more than 23 per cent went out for eating. Around 20 per cent were likely to have talking session with friends, while only below 20 per cent of people took their time for families. Other activities took 6 per cent of the sample.

In the next 10 years, a new category was added, which is playing computer games. More than 25 per cent spent their time on games. There was a slight drop in TV activities, from 32 to exactly 30 per cent. A significant increase happened in conversation with friends to 26 per cent. The others had below 10 per cent for each category.
