The bar chart displays data concerning the percentage of people who made use of a computer on a daily basis in the UK in the years 2006 and 2012. In general, it is evident that computer usage went up between these years as all age groups showed an increase in daily usage in 2012 as compared to 2006.

In 2006, the majority of people in the younger age groups used a computer every day. This continued to be the case in 2012, by which time over 80% of people aged between 16 and 44 were daily users. In the case of people in the 55-64 age group and the 65+ group, much less than half of people used a computer at least once a day in 2006, at 36% and 9% of people respectively. Their usage changed significantly in 2012 with over 60% of 55 to 64 year olds and approximately 29% of the 65+ group using computers every day.

The biggest changes in usage occurred among the older age groups between 2006 and 2012, with daily usage almost doubling among the 55-64 age group and tripling among the 65+ group. Overall, there was a significant rise in daily computer usage, with the percentage of users from all age groups increasing from around 45% to roughly 67% from 2006 to 2012.
