The given table depicts the information regarding weekly usage of dairy products namely: milk and butter by age groups which have been divided into four age-wise categories in particular European nation.
Looking from an overall perspective that the consumption of milk escalate with age increment. Whereas, the most butter is consumed by middle age group and the least by adult.
When it comes to milk consumption, the usage of milk starting from 1200ml in 25 age group, inclining to 1650ml and 1670ml, between 26-45 and 45-65 age group individuals, and reaches at 1900ml in older people. Meanwhile, 25 age group people use the highest percentage of full fat. However, the least ratio is accounted for the same group which is only 41 in comparison with other age groups. Young adult age group consume the low fat milk is 80% and 20% for full fat. Similarly, 45% for full fat and 55% for low fat milk has been used by middle age group. While, senior citizens consume 30% full fat milk and 70% for low fat milk comparatively.
Probing further with butter usage, young people consume 12 kg, having 60% full fat and 40% low fat. Between 25 and 45 age group, 19 kg butter has been consumed by them with 38 % full fat and 62% low fat. It is interesting to note that the highest amount of consumption butter has been used by middle aged individuals which is 60 kg with similar percentage of full fat and low fat. Meantime, older people use 30 kg butter with almost similar proportion of both fats.
