Approach IELTS exam in 5 steps

The students who want to go abroad for higher study, IELTS test is mandatory for them. Students prepare for this test with full determination to crack the test with good scores as universities demand for specific band scores and without it they cannot get admission. After preparation the next thing the student do is to appear in the exam for this you should know the process so here are 5 steps to approach IELTS exam.  

1. Enquiry

The first thing you should do is to check the availability of test dates and its fees. You can do this by personally visiting the test center of online. You can easily find the nearest test center from the official website.

2. Registration  

Once you are done with the enquiry and fixed your date of examination now it’s time for registering yourself. If you want to do by your own you can visit the website of the test taker authorities i.e. IDP or BC (not available in India) and fill the columns with the demanded information (mainly details of your ID document i.e. passport) and at the end you can do payment and your test will be booked. On the other hand if you want that a center should do it for you than you have to give them the copy of your passport.

3. Confirmation

Once you have been registered and done with your payment you will get your confirmation letter in which you will get your exam details like date of exam, venue and time. If your Speaking test is on a different day, the centre will also confirm this.

4. Test day

When you will reach the examination center on the date of exam first you have clear the security. First of all your identity (passport) will be checked and on the Speaking day also it will be checked. Than your finger prints will be taken and your photo will be clicked and the same will be pasted on your TRF. You will not be allowed to carry any electronic gadget in the examination room. You can only carry some stationery with you and you have to deposit all the other things in the cloak room.  Then you will be allowed to go in the hall for writing your exam.

5. Results

Once you are done with the exam now its turn to wait for result. Results will be issued 13 days after the test. You will be informed about your result by text message or you can check it online by using your login ID and Password. You can print your TRF from this portal only.  

Some other factors

You should familiarize yourself with the do’s and don’ts of IELTS and also about rules and regulations. This is very important as if you violate any rule either intentionally or unintentionally you will be punished and this can be even blacklisting.  

Another thing you should keep in mind is that if you are planning for IELTS register yourself as soon as possible. IELTS is always in demand as it is recognized worldwide and students across the world appear in the exam. So the exam gets full very soon and if you want any specific date or center you should register before it run out of seat.
