The map illustrates significant developments in a dock area between 1980 and the present day.
In 1980, the dock was primarily used for industrial and shipping purposes. Several warehouses were located on both sides of the dock, and numerous ships and cranes were present, indicating active cargo operations. A large warehouse occupied the southern section near the river.
Currently, the area has been transformed into a recreational and residential zone. The warehouses have been replaced by an education centre, a sailing club, and a children’s play area. The former industrial buildings on the south have been converted into a hotel, apartments, and a parking facility. The ships are no longer used for transport but serve as part of a ship museum. Moreover, a river walk has been added, and a bridge along with a flood barrier has been constructed to improve accessibility and protection.
Overall, the dock has evolved from an industrial site into a modern public space.
