Do you think the government should knock down the museums since everything is available on the internet?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
SAMPLE ANSWER:-
In older days, people went to museum to get information about the past events. Now we are in living in 21st century which reflects modern era. Technology is advancing day by day. So, it is believed by some that authorities should demolish the museums as internet provides all the information.
There are many reasons to support that government should knock down the museums. Firstly, museums give realistic view of the articles. Museums preserve the objects related to past, present and future. When visitors visit the museums, they can actually touch them. One can only understand and enjoy something when one touches it. However, on the internet, one can only see them. Moreover, it can act as a stress buster. People have a hectic life. So, when they go to the museums, they can enjoy their time.
Further, museums generate employment opportunities. So, it would be difficult for the employees if government destroys the museums. Apart from that, museums act as a historic place. People from different countries can find anything there. Everything is available in books, so masses want to see them physically. Thus, this helps the country to earn name, fame and recognition.
On the other hand, some sceptics are against museums. Primarily, they think that museums occupy a large space. The population is rising tremendously and so they have different demands like accommodation, hospital, school etc. so, if people can see everything on the internet then the government should utilize that place of museum for other urgent needs. Secondly, the repairs and maintenance of these museums is high. Not all the museums are famous. So, government is wasting money on saving them.
To encapsulate, I would like to state that museums are an important place where people can find anything of different time periods. Thus, just for the availability of internet government should not knock down these edifices.
