Above, we mentioned IELTS includes four components: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. It is important to know that Reading, Writing, Listening sections are conducted with one day sitting and Speaking is conducted on another day with a set schedule.

IELTS LISTENING TEST

This section is conducted for 40 minutes in which 30 minutes you devote for listening to the audio and 10 minutes at last you would be given for transferring the answers.

Recording 1 – a conversation between two people set in any everyday social context

Recording 2 – a monologue set in an everyday social context

Recording 3 – a conversation between up to four people set in an educational or training context

Recording 4 – a monologue on any academic subject

This section has 40 questions in total and you need to solve in 60 minutes. No extra time is given in this section so transfer your answers side by side.

IELTS WRITING TEST

Again, this section is also of 60 minutes. Two task you are required to jot down. Students need to mage their timings likewise: 20 minutes for task 1 and 40 minutes for task 2.

On the IELTS Academic Module, in Task 1, a candidate has to write a summary of at least 150 words of a table/graph/process. On the IELTS General Training Module, in Task 1, a candidate has to write a letter of at least 150 words.

Task 2 – Task 2 is the same for both Academic and General Training Modules, and involve an essay of at least 250 words. Candidates will be asked to write an essay in a response to an argument, problem, or point of view. Make sure to give responses to both the tasks in a formal way.

IELTS SPEAKING TEST

The speaking section assess the spoken skills of the candidate. Your test conversation is recording simultaneously.

Part 1 – Includes your introduction as well as a talk on general topics such as hobbies, family, residential area and many others. This talk is generally held for 4-5 minutes.

Part 2 – This part is of cue card and conducted within 3 minutes. Where 1 minute is for preparation and 2 minutes you are required to speak on the topic.

Part 3 – This part is of follow ups. Follow ups are conducted in a round of 4-5 minutes and you need to support your answer with proper explanation in this. Probably by adding example too in it.
