Who, according to you, chooses the career for youngsters? Is it the responsibility of the parents and teachers or the youngsters themselves?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
SAMPLE ANSWER:-
For many years elders have been taking decisions of career for their children. However, now we are progressing rapidly. As a result, youngsters have started taking this crucial step themselves. Some people reckon this is justifiable, while others consider the previous approach. I agree with the former view and would discuss both the sides and give my opinion in the following paragraphs.
There are certain factors that highlight my opinion. To begin with, youngsters are very active and smart today. They know about their interests very well and also, which field of career is in trend. We are living in dynamic era where every day career opportunities keep on changing. For example, earlier there was a great trend of teaching profession, but now more and more youngsters are getting inclined towards photography, accountancy, stock market etc. Parents and teachers might not have an idea about these fields.
Secondly, when youngsters take decision of career by themselves then they learn a lot of traits. The biggest advantage is that they become decision maker as this is the most pivotal decision of anyone’s life. So, if this decision turns out to be wrong then children would get experience and try not to repeat the mistake ahead, and if they become successful, then this would encourage them to take more risks and accomplish their goals.
On the other hand, some people contradict the above-mentioned precept. As per them, parents and teachers are highly experienced and whatever career they would choose, would be a wise decision. Parents know what is good for their offspring in long term as youngsters have a tendency to get attracted towards whatever attracts them the most even if it is not beneficial in long run.
To conclude, I would like to state that youngsters are the future of a country and so it is important that they should be productive and wise. Therefore, if they take career decision themselves only then, they would become independent and further can take big decisions as well.
