Step1_ Read the question very carefully and understand the demand of the question.
Be sure that you understand what question is being asked. One of the worst mistakes you can make is to go beyond the tangent and fail to answer the question. IELTS questions are exactly worded and they need a specific answer. Spending time on reading the question and understanding it is very well time spent. It gives you surety that you answer the question well
IELTS is very certain and it is fine to write about the general topics. Instead the answer should be very specific and pointed.

Step 2_ Think for a while what you’re going to write for task 2
This is the stage at which you do planning for the essay, but you can’t just plan. You must think. Don’t only react with a ready-made essay which may or may not answer the question asked. You need to read the question properly and decide how you can answer it using your language abilities, your experience, and your knowledge. Definitely, the essay you already written may given you few points, vocabulary and even some insights, but be ensure that what you use applies without doubt to the question which has been asked in the exam. It is very significant that you include parts of recent essays to include your answer as it is to know what parts to exclude.

Writing the Essay
Every essay must have 3 parts, so it is beneficial to consider each part of the essay as a step in the process of essay writing.
Step 3_ Writing the Introduction
The introduction is a crucial step in the writing process. It sets the tone and gives the grader the first impression of your abilities and skills, so if you get the introduction wrong you could start on the wrong foot.
The introduction should be linked to your question. You should, therefore, write the introduction considering both the question at hand and the body paragraphs of the essay that you plan to write.

Step 4_ Developing your essay ideas, approach and explanation.
In approaching the main body of the essay, you must ensure that answer that you give is not only the clear and accurate but also be well structured and coherent. Divide your essay into paragraphs that explain just one idea per paragraph. Ensure that you elaborate your ideas relate to the question.

Step 5_ Conclude your essay with a summary that completes the circle
Before you write your Conclusion, you just need to do proofreading and make sure that it is complete and coherent. In your Conclusion, all the points should be properly summarized and complete it. It should summaries the main points in the body and reflects the connection between the introduction and the question.
Good Conclusion summarizes the contents of the essay in as few words as possible.

Step 6_ Read your Essay
Unlike research papers or essays written as homework, you only get one chance at Writing the exam essay. It’s a good idea to read your essay through at numerous intervals during the exam. Leaving this to the end may be too late. You should also read it once more when you get to the end to ensure that it makes sense and is a clear coherent whole.
