Lie or Truth does not matters
I IELTS Speaking test only your language skills are judged and examiner don’t have any interest that whether you are saying truth or lie. So if you get a topic which you are not familiar you can easily tell a lie. Many students have this thing in mind that they should not speak anything false and try to stick with the reality as a result they don’t get much content to speak. Your truth or lie hardly matters as the examiner only judge your grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and other things.
Create a story
If you get a topic about which you don’t know anything or you have not experienced it in your life just create a story of your own. Keep in mind that your story should be relevant and supported by supportive ideas. You should be fluent and effortless while narrating the story.
Speak, Speak
IELTS Speaking is the test in which examiner judges your speaking skills and this can only happen if you will speak. Speaking is mandatory if you want good scores as the examiner can check your language ability if you will say something so Speak and Speak. If you face any unfamiliar topic say whatever you know about it try to express your thoughts and ideas about the topic.
Be Creative
In IELTS Speaking you should be creative enough to give a good answer. Many students who are less creative are not able to answer even common questions properly. Sometimes you have to mold the stories for example, your examiner asked you to speak about your favorite regional author but you have knowledge about any English author. In this situation you can create any name and give the full description of the author you know.

You should not get nervous or stressed if you get any unfamiliar topic. It is a normal human behavior to be nervous in these types of unexpected situations but when going for the exam you should be well prepared for any type of situation as in exam nervousness can reduce your scores.
The best way to get rid of nervousness is to smile during the exam as this will boost your confidence and your examiner could not even catch your shyness.
Make An Eye Contact:
Another thing that can hide your nervousness is to make an eye contact. Making eye contact shows that you are very confident and ready to speak in any situation. It also attract the examiner and he listen to you carefully without distraction.
